At our core, we are a sailing club that is passionate about providing our community of 1,100 members with an excellent facility in which to indulge their enthusiasm and to foster a love of sailing from an early age.
We are an inclusive family club where every age and every ability is respected. There is always someone on hand to help out, whether it be rigging a boat, getting it in the water or just to have a chat. It is testament to the ethos of the Club that so many of our former youth sailors return as instructors.
Papercourt Sailing Club in Ripley is in the heart of Surrey, with our own 45 acre lake surrounded by woodland. Being close to the A3/M25 unction, we are able to provide a sailing club for London and the home counties. And when you get here we have a huge car park and a modern clubhouse overlooking the lake.
You can join the Club as a non-sailing individual or family, without owning a boat. Then learn to sail at very reasonable cost, make loads of friends, and get friendly advice about which boat to buy. You can download a copy of our brochure.
Although primarily a racing club there are opportunities for cruising most weekends throughout the year, and Wednesday and Friday evenings in the summer. We have a very strong youth section, claiming the largest Optimist fleet in the country! We also hold ladies sailing evenings and have a vibrant sailability section.

We are rightly proud of our lake, which has long been designated as a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), monitored by Natural England. This designation protects the countryside from being lost to development that transformed many natural areas over the last century, and we work very hard to maintain it.
